Development of new digital service offerings and evolution of existing ones to members of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels.


Project Scope

The project scope is the development of an Integrated Information System, which will provide advanced digital services to large business groups: hotels (members of the chamber) and businesses that supply services and products to hotel units, throughout the territory.


Specifically:

The Project concerns the strengthening of the IT infrastructure of the Greek Tourism Authority, the evolution of existing digital applications with final recipients – beneficiaries – hotel businesses and the development of new electronic services.


The physical scope of the Project includes:

  • The preparation of an implementation study and specialization of the project implementation
  • The development of an integrated environment within the framework of which:
  • Existing infrastructures and services to the members of the chamber are completed and upgraded, level 3 and 4 services are upgraded to levels 4 and 5, digital certificates are supported and compliance with the new PDHID is sought
  • New electronic services are developed, such as (a) a modern communication service for the direct advisory support of its members by the staff and executives of the relevant service units of the Chamber of Commerce, (b) the possibility of monitoring meetings and events held by the Chamber of Commerce in real time or retrospectively, (c) an information and support service for small and medium-sized tourism enterprises through the ITEP, (d) an inter-business e-commerce service (e-marketplace) between the enterprises of the Chamber of Commerce members and the their suppliers, (e) digital certificate distribution and management service
  • The existing computer system of the Greek Information and Communication Service is being developed and upgraded in a modern environment
  • The training of its executives and technical staff.
