Project Scope

The project concerns the upgrading, reforming and expanding the services provided by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection’s web portal, with the aim of shaping the optimal environment for integrating information for civil protection and creating a user-friendly environment.

Technological Principles

The above upgrade was carried out in accordance with the “Framework for the Provision of Electronic Government Services” (Government Gazette 1301 B, 12.4. 2012) and followed the following technological principles:

Open architecture

Multi-layered architecture

Design that allows for easy communication, interconnection and/or integration with third-party applications

Possibility for future extensions, integrations, upgrades or changes of discrete software components, without changes to the structure and architecture.

Unified operating environment, accessible by modern browsers, for both visitors and internal users of the BTI: environment friendliness, work efficiency.

Project Objective

The objective of the project was to create an integrated information platform, which satisfies the requirements of the users. In particular, when structuring all the modules of the BTI of the GSPP, a categorization of the information was followed according to the sectors and areas of activity, in a way that facilitates access to the information and the guidance of the user when searching for it.
